Specific absorption rate (SAR) is the rate that EM energy in the radio-frequency is absorbed by the tissue. In magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) system use strong magnetic field and radio waves to generate the images of organs in the body. However, if the power delivered by the MRI system is too high and cause tissue heating, it will be harmful. FDA has a regulation on the SAR value of the MRI system and many other medical devices.
During this webinar we will demonstrate MRI system setup in ANSYS Electronic Desktop, and running the simulation to calculate the SAR value with HFSS.
